1. We’re Back!
For the last two years, I’ve been planning weddings with Quintessentially, where the logistics have occasionally felt closer to running a small country than planning a party. (Don’t worry, no one made me wear a headset.)
There have been infamous villas, destination weekends, hundreds of moving parts and budgets that your mum would instantly describe as “ridiculous”.
But underneath all the lobster starters, slightly outrageous requests and the occasional pop star riders, the best weddings still came down to the same things: lovely people, great food, a room full of energy and details that actually meant something.

2. London’s Wedding Suppliers Continue To Show Off
Amie/Weezie’s - I'll admit it, I was convinced Amie wine was going to be a passing trend. But, well done, she's still here, still looking chic on every tablescape and has now brought her sexy big brother along: Weezie's. Day-two pizza party within stumbling home distance of the Victoria line? Yes please!
Sorelle - Championing British-grown flowers wherever possible, Sorelle creates arrangements that feel like they’ve been gathered from the garden rather than overly styled. Seasonal, natural and effortlessly beautiful - they are letting the flowers do their own thing and we are here for it! P.s. they are currently hiring for an experienced grower in Devon - dreams all around.
The OWN Studio - We wrote about The Own Studio years ago when only the chicest of Londoner’s had heard of it. We are now seeing brides all over the place wearing their minimal, modern bridal wear that's become something of a cult favourite. Effortlessly cool silhouettes for brides who'd rather be mistaken for a fashion editor than a princess.
Sophie Davidson Weddings - I dare you to find me a cool couple who didn’t have, or enquire with, with Sophie Davidson for their ultra laid back but perfectly formed wedding. A beautifully talented photographer.
Alan Power & The Take Twos - If your dream wedding soundtrack sits somewhere between Nashville, the Cotswolds and a 1970s house party, this is it. As the resident band at The Fat Badger and playing at the coolest venues across the country, they're one of those names that keeps cropping up at the coolest weddings around.

3. Rita’s Raw
Soho legendary restaurant - Rita’s - is taking a month-long pivot into Rita’s Raw and it’s feeling very of-the-moment (keeping cool!!!): a dedicated raw bar and cold kitchen for lighter summer dining (no sweating in Soho). It’s exactly the kind of thing we love seeing more of; restaurants creating an experience rather than simply serving food. We are big champions of the continuation of this energy into weddings … less wedding menu, more favourite restaurant, favourite chef, favourite summer evening brought to life. Make it all an experience!

4. 374 Magazine
Created by the team behind The OWN Studio, 374 feels like a completely different corner of the wedding world: part fashion magazine, part culture journal, part things we want to know about. It’s cool in a way wedding media rarely is (hallelujah). If Dua Lipa’s Service95 ever wanted to dip a toe into the wedding world, we’re calling it now: a 374 x Service95 collaboration would make far too much sense. You’re welcome.
(And yes, I’ve already mentioned The OWN Studio and don’t even know them, just fan-girling).

5. Things We’re Hoping To See In The Second Half Of 2026
Continued girl-power, girls-club energy seeping in & out of Hen-Do’s. It’s a magical weekend feel that can’t ever be re-created.
Co-working spaces with free coffee.
Winter weddings going beyond the usual greenery/white flowers/candles. They’ve had a few warm up years, now let’s see the same creativity that summer weddings have.
A decrease in wedding content moments (sorry not sorry), candid all the way.
More special day-before-wedding events/rehearsal dinners. A really gorgeous intimate time for families to come together before the big moments. Long lunches, relaxed dinners, countryside walks, garden parties…
Pinterest boads with under 20 pins. The vision is clear.
Interesting colour schemes.
London weddings! Private dining rooms, tiny restaurants, galleries, pubs, rooftops, hidden courtyards. Not every wedding needs a country house.
6. We Got Married!
All very DIY, all very open air.
A wedding of contrasts and mixes to keep people on their toes.
City church and then into an open field.
Ireland met the UK with champagne, Guinness and Black Velvet’s (mix of Guinness and champagne) on arrival.
Wedding cakes from the best ex-Layla head baker, served on Amazon paper doilies.
Delicious sharing dishes from ex-Michelin wedding caterers but centrepieces of Sainsbury’s cabbages, green beans and swedes.
Dress and skirt from Rixo and a vintage veil from Etsy.
Spicy margaritas and pints of real ale.
Live local jazz quartet to start and funky London DJ with a secret after party to end.
CHEERS TO THAT, OVER AND OUT.
CAN’T WAIT TO SPEND THE REST OF 2026 WITH YOU ALL.
P.S. if you’ve reached the end of this post without abandoning it halfway through for something shiny, you can probably give the upcoming Channel 4 ADHD documentary a miss.
